Food Movement yet again!শহীদ হলেন কমরেড স্বপন মালিক। রায়না-১ BDO অফিসে ডেপুটেশনে গ্রামবাসিদের উপর TMC দুষ্কৃতিদের হামলা। রায়না, বর্ধমান। 11/02/2016

Blood spills in Left citadel,Burdwan!Bengal bleeds!

One person was killed and 18 were injured when bombs were hurled at a CPM procession in Burdwan district on Thursday, police said. It is all the way protest declared as Food Movement relaunched by the left all over Bengal. It might be acid test for RSS aligned Mamata Banerjee.

The bombs were hurled in Raina block while the procession was passing by Shyamsundar College, SP Kunal Agarwal said.
Ten people have been detained and a police picket has been posted in the area, he added. The deceased was identified as Swapan Mallik (50).

Left open to alliance talks with Congress!

However,Million Dollar question has to be replied, alliance or no alliance, would boded Muslim,Dalit and Adivasi Vote bank rethink before voting for the anarchy all the way?'

Meanwhile,PPP development blitz did not satisfy RSS aligned Mamata Banerjee who puts everything on stake to romp back home.

Thus,Mamata Banerjee chose the ultimate populist digital ration card to provide Rice @Rs 2 only to everyone in Bengal under Khadya Sathi scheme.

Mind you,the cards have to be distributed for TMC Party offices.

Thus,it is quite selective as we have not the cards as yet, most of the common masses have been deleted from ration network with single stroke.

Already displaced from job,jal jangal jameen and livelihood, this blooddy missing digital ration card created the fire of sixties and Mamata ,looking invincible committed the Himalayan blunder and invoked Food Movement yet again.

The injured were taken to hospital and the condition of two of them was stated to be critical, the police said

Mind you, in her twitter account West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee declared the state government is looking to cover more than 6 crore people out of 9.13 crore population for their PDS. The digital ration cards with the bar code facilities will strengthen the PDS, thinks CM. Started from Dakshin Dinajpur the facilities will be carried out in other places too, said West Bengal Chief Minister.

Mamata should know better the result.

Mind you, at that time way back in sixties, not only in Bengal, but countrywide the masses had no alternative for Congress and it was congress which held all the vote banks ie Dalit, OBC,Muslim,Sikh,Adivasi and so on.

Not only in the districts,Kolkata consisting of slums all the way, cries for food!

Police detain SUCI workers protesting against ‘anamolies’ in supply of digital ration cards, in Kolkata Thursday.

The CPM, on the other hand, has been demonstrating against the alleged dislocation in the ration supply chain of BPL and APL food supply in rural areas.

The old ration cards are now being replaced with digital ones and this has caused some problems, said government officials.

The opposition party had organised the procession to protest against alleged mismanagement in distribution of new digital food security cards and ration cards by the West Bengal government.

The CPM claimed that the Trinamool Congress engineered the incident, a charge denied by the ruling party.

Meanwhile,Congress and the Left stranded in to be or not to be status quo,but Didi finalized alliance with RSS.

The urgency might be understood, without RSS walkover she perhaps could not retain her seat in Bhavanipur,in South Kolkata.

RSS branded religious polarization ensure the MUSLIM Vote Bank inflicted with immense insecurity,to remain intact as Matua vote bank already captured and Adivasi demography under persecution  wants to be bailed out for anything.

It was red Falg all the way on BT Road which witnessed massacres of working class, all shutters down for production units with blooming lotus and grass root flowers with Malls,Hubs, housing complex making entire north 24 pargans, the earstwhile left stronghold transformed into free zone for crime protected by rulers making in complete promoter builder mafia raj!

The scenario changed.

Thus, in the deserted heart of the Bengal industrial belt,in Barrackpur, pitching once again for an alliance with Congress in the coming Assembly elections in West Bengal, senior CPM leader and former chief minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee on Thursday said people want such a tie-up to oust the ruling Trinamool Congress.

“Everyone is talking about a tie-up. You need to understand why people are talking about the alliance. The priority at the moment is to get rid of the TMC from here and thus, individuals and political parties should come together for that,” said Bhattacharjee while addressing a party rally in Barrackpore in North-24 Parganas district.Media reports.

“There can be differences in political ideologies but that should take a backseat at the moment. There is a single-point agenda, which is to defeat TMC,” he added.

This is the second time that the former chief minister has openly spoken in favour of an alliance. The first time was in January in a rally in Singur.

Senior CPM leader Gautam Deb, too, asserted that an alliance with the Congress was imminent. “We will go to Delhi and a decision would be taken there. The Trinamool has to be taught a lesson,” Deb said.

Lashing out at the Mamata Banerjee-led government, Bhattacharjee said the TMC had driven out existing industries from the state and prevented new ones to come. “Two software giants – Infosys and Wipro – had tried to set up their units here, providing employment to at least 10,000 persons. It didn’t happen because of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. When she was the rail minister, she had announced big ambitious projects at Sankrail, Dankuni and Kanchrapara. Foundation stones for all those projects were laid but none of those took off,” Bhattacharjee said.

Alleging that the state has gone backwards in terms of industrialisation in the last four-and-a-half years, the former CM said, “We wanted to bring in heavy industries such as steel, automobiles and petrochemicals, but Mamata says industries of puffed rice and fritters should be set up here. The state is going backwards.”

He said the TMC government has destroyed the health care, education system in Bengal. “Where are the super-speciality hospitals that she claims that the present government has put up? No new colleges and universities have come up. All she is doing is painting the flyovers and structures put up by us, into blue and white,” Bhattacharjee said.

Alleging indifference of the state government towards the plight of closed tea garden workers in North Bengal, the Politburo member said, “Currently, we are witnessing that tea gardens are being shut one after the other leading to starvation deaths almost every day. However, the Chief Minister is more interested in utsavs.”

heere it is.Department of Food and Public Distribution is implementing a Plan Scheme on End-to-end Compterisation of TPDS Operations during 12th Five Year Plan (2012-17) at a total project cost of Rs. 884.07 crores. The cost is being shared on 90:10 basis with NE States and on 50:50 basis with other States/UTs. The component-I of the scheme comprises activities namely, digitization of ration card/beneficiary and other databases, computerization of supply-chain management, setting up of transparency portals and grievance redressal mechanisms etc.

He said that during the implementation of the project and as reported by the State Government of West Bengal during the last three years (i.e. April, 2012 to March, 2015) 81.73 lakh bogus ration cards have been eliminated.

The End-to-end Computerization of TPDS Operations" Scheme has been built around the best practices and innovations/ experiments carried out by different States/UTs and it is evolving all the times.

All such best practices/innovations are shared with all the States/UTs through periodic seminars, Video Conferences, letters and departmental magazines etc. Elimination of bogus cards has reduced losses to the extent bogus ration cards have been eliminated.

This information was given by the Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Shri Ram Vilas Paswan in a written reply in Rajya Sabha today.
