कम्युनिस्ट पार्टी कनाडा के इतिहास में पहली बार उसका नेतृत्व किसी महिला नेत्री कामरेड लिज़ रोले के हाथ में होगा , पार्टी नेता मिगेल फिगोरा द्वारा स्वास्थ्य संबंधी कारणों के चलते इस्तीफ़ा दिए जाने के बाद पार्टी केन्द्रीय समिति ने यह निर्णय हाल ही में लिया. कामरेड लिज़ ब्राम्पटन पार्टी समिति से बेहद नज़दीकी से जुडी रही हैं, ओंटेरियो प्रान्त का नेतृत्व करते हुए उनका हमारी समिति से गहरा अंतर्संबंध होना स्वाभाविक ही था. हम उनके नेतृत्व में कनाडा की कम्युनिस्ट पार्टी के मज़बूत होने और कनेडियन कामगार तबके की आवाज़ के और प्रबल होने की शुभकामनाएं देते हैं. पेश हैं उनकी कुछ तस्वीरे जो पिछले साल की ही हैं जिनमें ब्राम्पटन में किये गए संघर्षों की दास्तान खुद ब्यान होती है, उसके साथ साथ एक पार्टी नेता के पारिवारिक सदस्य के यहाँ हुई शादी के अवसर की भी दो तस्वीरे हैं.
