India is a religious nation and Indian Culture is all about religious rituals and performance. Our nationalism is also religious and it is a Hindu Nation where big temples are the bases of ruling hegemony and people donate in abundance  as if it is their duty to sustain these temples.Indian Politics is all about religion, say Hindutva and this Hindutva has become a global phenomenon.

But the treasure hidden in these temples has not to be ensured to ensure the safety of the millions who throng to these temples.

Those who sacrifice everything on the name of gods have to sacrifice their lives, too.

The government is always prompt to declare handsome amount for those killed and injured, but it is not concerned to create a disaster management system for those poor citizens who gather in and around these temples to enrich their faith and the temple brotherhood at the same time.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday expressed his condolences to the victims of the Kerala temple fire and said he will be reaching the state soon to take stock of the situation arising due to the unfortunate fire tragedy in Kollam.
At least 100 people were killed and over 350 injured during festivities at the Puttingal Devi Temple at nearby Paravoor on Sunday morning, when a huge explosion occurred at a store room filled with crackers and pyrotechnic material.
The mishap occurred as sparks fell on the storeroom 'Kambapura' and exploded with a thundering noise at around 3.30 AM, police said.
The tragedy in Kollam district’s Paravur was triggered by firecrackers during an ongoing festival which attracts a large number of visitors every year.
Fireworks during an ongoing festival at Puttingal Devi temple in Kollam district’s Paravur, around 70km from the capital Thiruvananthpuram, triggered the tragedy around 330AM.

BBC reports:
The fire started about 03:30 (22:15 GMT Saturday) when an explosion was set off in a store of fireworks ready for celebrations of a local Hindu new year festival, local media reports say.
A building at the temple then collapsed, causing many of the fatalities. More than 200 are injured.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is travelling to the scene.
He tweeted that the accident was "heart-rending and shocking beyond words".
Many of the injured are in critical condition and are being treated at the government medical college in Thiruvananthapuram, the state capital.
Kerala police chief TP Senkumar said that many of the dead were charred beyond recognition and would have to be identified by DNA tests.

The impact of the blast was felt in houses up to a kilometre away.
"Huge pieces of concrete were flying through the air. Chunks landed in our yard," said resident Jayashree Harikrishnan.
Kerala's Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala has ordered in an investigation into the accident.
Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy is also due to visit the scene this morning.
The fireworks had been stored ready for celebrations on Thursday of Vishu, a Keralan festival marking the Hindu new year.
However, the local district magistrate had denied permission for the display to be held this year because of safety concerns and complaints from residents.
The police are planning to take action against the temple administration and the contractors who were putting on the firework display.
Fireworks and firecrackers are commonly used at temple festivals and other public events and accidents are not uncommon.
