Be it students, or teachers we are all in it!
Sandeep Pandey in BHU, Sanober Keshwar in TISS, Dr. Saibaba in Delhi University and now Prof. Ratnam and Prof. Tathagata in University of Hyderabad....Apart from the drastic reduction in faculty recruitment, the first to be thrown out are the politically opiniated teachers who are part of democratic movements inside the university against administrative highhandedness, instituionalized discrimination and the Brahmanical Hindutva fascist agenda of the sangh. A few days back, police had also asked the JNU administration information about 21 teachers of JNU. I am sure they must be already having it by now. A question comes to my mind, with students and teachers suspended and thrown out, what will be left of our universities? But then, that is our CEO PM Modi's grand vision for our universities to make them into exclusive spaces for the rich and the dominant caste/class, where no dissent is tolerated, criticality is throttled and teachers are supposed to propagate the worldview of the sangh. But then let our message also be loud and clear - this is a vision which we, the students and teachers will unnitedly definitely foil.
Ladai Jari Hai!
Students-Teachers Unity Long Live!
Stand with Prof. Ratnam and Prof. Tathagata!
