Highest Peak climber shares her experiences with AIR Eight years back she dreamt of climbing highest peak of the world i.e. Mt Everest. And her dream came true on last May 22 when she as a member of first NCC girl cadets expedition scaled the highest peak. She is the third Meghalayee to achieve this feat. Before her it was Gary Jarman Lamare, a male climber followed by Wansuk Myrthong, a girl from Shillong. Now Dolyne Kharbhih is the latest to join this group.A very humble & jolly girl Dolyne is working as Girls Cadet Instructor in 62 Assam Girls Bn NCC, Silchar.Narrating her experience of climbing, she told AIR that she was advised by her seniors that " Mountain doesn't recognise whether climber is boy or girl."So after these words they didn't look back.Out of 19 climbers,16 could reach to final summit.Other than her, this comprised of NCC girl cadets, one lady officer from Indian Army & some army personnel.
