Any Nexus Between Government And IS?
Secular bloggers and publishers, foreigners, and indigenous peoples and religious minorities are being targeted, attacked and killed in Bangladesh.
The IS claimed the responsibility for many of these incidents. Well-documented news reports on this fact are available in public domains.
The government of Bangladesh denied any involvement of the IS in these incidents and any existence of the terror group in the country, and, instead, blamed political opposition for the same on one hand, and took measures to curb press freedom in the country on the other. The opposition denied the charge. Till today, Dhaka also failed to comply with the 1997 CHT Accord -- the only legal safeguard for promotion and protection of the identity of the Buddhist majority indigenous people of Chittagong Hill Tracts against the growing demographic invasion and ethnic cleansing campaign of Bangladeshi settlers in the region. Instead, she imposed restrictions on the access of Bangladeshi and international rights groups and free thinkers to the region!
It is clear that the government is trying desperately to hide something from the public and the international community. Is the government secretly using the IS to silence the voice of indigenous peoples, religious minorities, political opposition, and Bangladeshi and international free minds to perpetuate its controversial regime in the country?
