There will be screening of other films, cultural performances and discussions too, on the lives of tea workers

Samik
First Public Screening of our latest Documentary Film, at Margaret's Hope Tea Garden, Darjeeling. The film is on the life in Margaret's Hope tea gardens, which is a so-called 'good' garden run in the hands of a 'good' company, namely Goodricke. Sometime back, a promotional documentary film was made, on the occassion of 150 years of the garden. A musical band of the local youths decided to portray the real situation in the gardens, just opposite to that portrayed in the promotional film. So the lives in the garden, joy and sorrow, deprivation and dreams, songs and the journey compiled together makes the film.
There will be screening of other films, cultural performances and discussions too, on the lives of tea workers
We shall be arranging screening of the film in other places too. Will update here.
